Moose!!

These crazy kids ask for something and for some reason they alway get what they ask for. I guess you can call Dennie and I suckers. All the the kids have been begging for a dog for years now. I put my foot down for eight years when out of the blue Gavin suggested it was best to have a dog. After all an emotional support dog would be good for his mental and physical health. Ok, we caved Dennie found a dog. If mom was going to take care of a dog the dog better be a tiny dog!! That was a must have. This way when mom is taking care of it, it wasn't much to take care of. Notice mom is doing a lot of the work...

Dennie and I took off to Idaho with a pocket full of money. Seeing this dog we immediately knew he was ours. He was a perfect fit to our family. I knew the kids would be thrilled. Moose was the smallest of the batch, weighing in 3 pounds at two months old. He was tiny!! OMG he's the cutest! Dennie joked that he was more for me than our kids. This could be true?

We met up with my dad, he had a car full of things we didn't even think to buy. He sent us home with everything we needed. We were set.

Once we got home Dennie took off to the school to grab the kids while I quickly set up the dogs play area. The look on the kids' face is forever engraved in my soul. Gavin teared up, Payton was so giddy she nearly squeezed him to death, Royce kept asking "Is he really ours, do we get to keep him?" and Masons smile was bigger than his face. All were the happiest kids we'd had seen in a long time.

Moose driving home to meet the coolest kids he will ever meet!

The first of many hugs.

Yep he's loved!

It felt right.

Gavin had the final say on the dogs name, of course with a little encouragement from dad, Gavin chose the name MOOSE! Funny considering he's the smallest thing ever. But the name is very masculine! It totally fits him.

Potty training was a joke for a long while. Momma was harsh. Kids were forgiving, me not so much. Before long Moose was potty trained to his mat. Moose is a pro escape artist. I swear I could beat him every time he gets out!! The kids will be mad if I didn't add when Moose got out a few days ago he landed himself in front of a cow. The cow did a dance charge straight for Moose. Moose yelped and ran like no dog has ran before. Royce nearly peed himself. It was so funny. That cow was either excited to have a friend or he was pissed that a dog was in his pasture. Either way Moose learned a lesson that day! We on the other hand laughed all day long. Our neighbors hate us I'm sure. After catching Moose from running to the neighbors again today, I told Dennie "we need a fence or the dogs goes!!!" Sorry about that Dennie. And sorry neighbors you have the worst neighbors around. (sigh)

The last picture before a hair cut!
I didn't realize how ugly it was til it was gone.

Yep this is Moose for ya!

Gavin is clearly happy.

Mason couldn't leave his side!

Honestly I love him too.

Birthday celebration,

Moose still has this monkey and totally loves it!

Yep totally worth it.

First Christmas outfit.

My little sidekick.

Moose loves the dog park. How great is it that Logan provides this great place for dogs to be free or in Mooses case trampled. He's all mighty and totally loves the attention trampled or not. I know the kids will make many memories at that dog park with Moose.

Seriously Dennie a dog starbucks treat?

They bond when they can.

The absolute cutest!

We love Moose's hair cut and will for sure keep it short for now on.
Oh and how cute is he sitting like this?

Moose you complete our family!
