It's offical....
I've officially ran out of babies!!
What in the world am I going to do now that I do not have a baby?
Gavin turned two November 1, 2014. I am in awe that he has grown so fast. He was not an easy baby. There were times were I thought maybe he is, but for the most part he has kept me very, very busy. Gavin holds a very special piece of my heart. Being the last baby I really tried to soak every hard, long, amazing, sad, loving moment I could possibly grasp. Time really was and is not my friend when it comes to Gavin. Though I find myself sad, I am truly so happy and excited for the future that lies ahead for our family!
Thank you Gav so much for being the ray in the sun. You completed our beautiful family. Mom and Dad love you so much. Happy Birthday!
I know a few of you want updates on Gavin and his health. The first of October Gavin started to throw up about three times a day and it slowly started to rise up to five to six times a day. We took him into the pediatricians for some answers. As of today we only have more questions. November 25th we will be taking him in for an MRI and a spinal tap. Reason being, the doctor mentioned brain tumor and when a doctor mentions brain tumor the first thing you do as a parent is MAKE SURE THERE IS NO BRAIN TUMOR!!!! The first visit our doctor wrote a list, here is what it looked like.....
1. Flu
2. Virus
3. Something wrong with his intestines
(he had a doctor way of saying it)
4. Brain Tumor
5. Cyclic Vomiting
His advice was to get on a medicine for thirty days to help with something called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. And to google Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. (CVS)
So we started the meds but shortly after Gavin started throwing up again. But this time he puked so bad he would choke and turn purple. And it was at every meal and every sippy. So we took him off the meds. And headed back to the doctors to cross off number 4!
Unfortunately we have to wait til the 25th to get the MRI and Spinal Tap done. They want to be sure there are no tumors and what the pressure is like up here as well.
Gavin has a few days where he wont spit up or throw up but its usually just one or two days then he will throw up at least once a day. There arent any special foods nor drinks that make him throw up. None that I am aware of anyway. And from the research there is a small part of me that says he very well could have CVS.
I will keep you all updated.
The poor babe lives with a throw up bowl next to him 24/7. Yes he sleeps with one too. Hopefully we will find some answers very soon! Or Maybe it was just a crazy thing he went threw and it is all over!! (crossing my fingers)
