Gavin James

           When you're a baby you cry for food, diaper changes, and attention. When you're a toddler you cry for owies. When you're a teen you cry over boys and girls. When you date and get married you cry over fights. When you become a mother you cry for you children. When they learn to talk. When they take their first steps. When they fall down. When they are sick. And mostly when they grow up. I have dreaded this blog for that reason. I am going to cry the entire way threw this.
            Gavin has been one of my Best Friends for five whole years now. When I say he rarely leaves my side you can believe it and if you know Gavin you will know it! Up until August of 2017 Gavin slept with me while dad was gone. Spoiled to say the very least. I will admit, it was and is all my fault for how spoiled the boy is. But how can I not enjoy every second with my last baby? I love all my babies equally but my baby is my last 'firsts'. I don't want to let those 'firsts' go! To be fare big kids you did sleep with mom til you were 2 or 3 and I do let you sleep in my bed when you're sick! And I promise to let that happen til you are old!
Gavin, Gavin, Gavin...... The day you were born was an easy day. I went to my normal doctor visit feeling very large for 38 weeks. The amazing doctor checked me, stripped my membranes, then sent me straight to the hospital being I was already dilated to a three (who knew). One minute to the hospital and checked it. Done all in one hour or less! Before long the doctor asked that silly question "Do you want an epidural?" Yep get that bad boy in! And poof.... the most beautiful baby boy was born! 6 pounds 12 ounces 19 inches long at 3:44 pm. Never in my life did I expect to successfully birth not one not two not three but four beautiful healthy babies with zero complications. How in the world does someone get so lucky?
   The most beautiful long brown hair and stunning dark brown eyes Gavin had and still has today. He was a twin of Payton! Just perfection. I would like to keep bragging on and on about how easy Gavin was but the would be a fib. Looking back now I feel like the worse mother on the planet. Gavin couldn't eat without throwing up or being constipated. He constantly had hives and was miserable. Again the worse parent ever!! Finally after months of doctors and scaring Gavin half to death. My heart told me to see what he was allergic to as far as food. That doctor even looked at me like I was dumb to even be there. But I pushed it and come to find out Gavin was allergic to MANY foods. Lucky for us he has out grown a lot. Unfortunately Gavin still has serious gag re-flux from throwing up half of his life. The dentist is impossible, brushing the inside of his teeth never happens. Many foods still make him throw up. Please tell me kids grow out of this??? Sadly Gavin has a very serious peanut and chicken allergy. Chicken yeah sad, I know. And nuts... yep sorry future Gavin. Maybe he will grow out of that as well?? I have high hopes!
                  Like many babies of the family they grow to be tough little shits. After all they do have to fight off older siblings! Just last night Mason was picking on Gavin so Mason now has a three inch scratch on his cheek. And Royce made the same mistake, he now has a fat lip! I guess the older kids will soon learn Gavin is growing up! Before long I have to soak that in as well. Soon my babies wont want as many snuggles because they will be getting dirty outside with dad! I am not ready!
   Gavin has had many firsts this last year. He now can ride a bike with out training wheels. He wiped his own butt, once. Mom is to paranoid for that business just yet! He FINALLY likes school. Ok I got to excited there. He doesn't cry everyday. That is a big deal! At school the kids get to play inside after lunch. And during play time I pick up Gavin. But yesterday they ended play time quicker than usual so Gavin went to a classroom. He was so stressed he got a headache. The poor boy gets headaches over any stress at all. Which then made today very stressful. Back to square one just because of that small change. So of course I reasured him that I will be there early just to get him threw the door.
                  Gavin James you are one special little guy! BUT your dad and I could not be more proud of the boy you strive to be every day. When you are naughty you scream, cry, then apologize. When you are sad you cry. When you are mad you sit and think. And when you are happy you light up the entire room.
                   I have many dreams for you little man. But lets start with liking school. Keep it up, ok?! You are smart, You are handsome, And You are kind! And we all love you so much! Happy Birthday Baby!
